Hi all, I am new to the HTPC world and hopefully have a simple question. Where the hell is the Intel TV wizard? I purchased a new Dell Studio(G45 graphics) and have it hooked up to my 65H84 RPTV via the HDMI out. When in full 1080i there is overscan and I cannot access the start menu/applications etc.
For standard DVD playing media center compensated for the overscan(it asks you via the display setup wizard) and I could then see the menus and less of the picture was cut off. However when using PowerDVD, which came with the PC, there is still considerable overscan (I did a dual output of T3 to my monitor and TV and compared). I can use Media center for standard DVD's but blu-ray only plays via PowerDVD and since I can't dual output the blu-ray I am assuming that it is getting overscanned just like the regular DVD.
I have seen that the Intel G45 has a 'TV wizard' via the boards but it doesn't appear anywhere on the graphics accelerator configuration settings area. Where is this thing? I was hoping that it would do something similar as Media Center and clean up the overscan.
I did try powerstrip but it mashed my display altogether and I had to do a restore. Apparently powerstrip and Intel graphics are not compatible.
I appreciate any assistance!
